All these and the materials collected during the Strandja expedition, lead by prof. Alexandar Foul, who put the establishment of today's museum. With his exhibition he have presented the material and spiritual culture of the local population from the period X-IX century BC. until nowadays. Except from preservation and popularisation of the cultural and historical heritage of Stranja, the museum also organizes thematical exhibitions, makes discussions, publishes materials on local level, participates in the development of different projects- for financing and work with children. Its a great responsibility not only to preserve and store the memorable signs of the historical region "Petrova niva", but to participate in the preparation and the conduct of the annual commemoration gathering in honour of Preobrazhenie people, where thousands of Thracians came together. |
