The Exhibition "Unification of Bulgaria 1885" is situated in the monument-building of culture, built for a Parliament in East Rumelia. It is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria, and is fully dedicated to the preparation of the Unification, its announcement and defense, as well as short history of east Rumelia, which existed in the period 1879-1885. The building was established in the period 1883-1885 under the project of the Italian architect Pietro Montani. Due to the Unification it was not used as a Parliamentary building, but was used for the needs of the Library and the Museum. It was fully granted to the Museum with the organization of the exhibition. |
