The museum is placed in the renovated building of the old Municipality, which was built in 1872 by Kolyu Ficheto and is one of his masterpieces. The substantial documentary, material and artistic materials reveal the economic, political and cultural development of the town of Veliko Tarnovo and Veliko Tarnovo region in XIX century. The atmosphere of the first National Assembly which convened here during the period 10.02 until 16.04 in XIX century and adopted the first Bulgarian Constitution, known as the Tarnovo Constitution, is recreated very successfully. |
